Our film recycling program highlights the reuse of Polyethylene Terephthalate and Silver Halide. X-ray Film is comprised of 99% Polyethylene Terephthalate (PET) and less than 1% Silver Halide. AMS Store and Shred, LLC (AMS) never incinerates. AMS destroys the film via shredding. The film is then put into a wet bath to remove the Silver Halide from the PET. Both are then recycled.
